How a winner is chosen

When a giveaway timer ends, the bot takes everyone who pressed the entry button, drops anyone who left the server or missed a stated requirement, and picks at random from what is left. Entry order does not matter. Boosting does not matter. Every valid entry weighs the same.

The result is posted in the channel the giveaway ran in, so the announcement is visible to everyone who entered rather than only to the person who won. The full mechanism is here, including the three ways a dishonest host can rig one.

How prizes reach people

Nitro is sent through Discord's gifting system and accepted inside the app. Robux goes through Roblox, using a public username or a gift card code. Neither route asks for a password, and a claim process that does is not a claim process.

Winners who do not respond within a reasonable window have their prize redrawn, and the redraw is announced in the same channel rather than handled quietly.

Verifying any of this yourself

A winners page is the weakest form of proof a giveaway server can offer, because anyone can type names into a table. Stronger evidence is available to you directly: open the server, read the giveaway channel history, and look at whether past winners are recognisable members with message history. The checks worth running are here, and they apply to us as much as to anyone.
